Christina Aguilera to sell marital home

After splitting from her husband, pop star Christina Aguilera has put the Beverly Hills mansion she shared with music producer Jordan Bratman up for sale, according to the Daily Mail Online.

The couple brought the mansion in 2008 for a reported $11million from Sharon and Ozzy Osbourne. The house featured on their MTV reality show The Osbournes and was revamped by Christina shortly after she moved in. She once described the interior to Instyle magazine as a ‘Gothic, burlesque, Hollywood Regency wherechinoiserie elements are juxtaposed with modern flourishes like graffiti artwork, Japanese anime and kaleidoscopic rugs.’

Christina is now asking for $13.5 million for the 8,900 square foot mansion, which boasts six bedrooms and ten bathrooms, a grotto, waterfall, pool and guest house.

Her divorce from Bratman will be finalised in April and Christina is said to have confirmed her reason for selling the property as ‘wanting a fresh start’.

If you weren’t one of the 100 million viewers who tuned in to watch the Green Bay Packers defeat the Pittsburgh Steelers during the 2011 SuperBowl, you may have missed Christina Aguilera get the lyrics wrong to the American National Anthem.

The singer performed before the game and mixed up her words by singing ‘Whose broad stripes and bright stars through the perilous fight, what so proudly we watched at the twilight’s last gleaming.’

The actual line is ‘Whose broad stripes and bright stars, through the perilous fight, o’er the ramparts we watched, were so gallantly streaming.’

But fellow SuperBowl performer Fergie from the Black Eyed Peas leapt to defend Christina. She told listeners during Dan Patrick’s American radio show: ‘You know what? It’s such a huge venue; your nerves take a hold of you.’

‘I completely understand. She’s one of the best singers of our time. Nobody can take that away from you… But you get nervous at these things. We’re human.’

A statement released by Christina was published in the Daily Mail today, where she stated;

‘I got so lost in the moment of the song that I lost my place.’

‘I can only hope that everyone could feel my love for this country and the true spirit of its anthem still came through.’

Christina’s mistake joins a list of controversial and headline making performances at the SuperBowl over the years including Janet Jackson’s wardrobe malfunction and Prince’s interesting guitar placement while playing Purple Rain.

Christina angry over leaked images

In the last 24 hours some racy snaps of Christina Aguilera have been posted on the internet.

The American singer is due to appear on the X Factor this weekend to sing with Rebecca Ferguson.

Christina issued a statement about the incident through her rep. ” The photos of Christina Aguilera being leaked to the press were illegally obtained by a hacker who tapped into Christina’s personal stylist’s account.

“The photos were taken in the privacy of Ms. Aguilera’s home and were used only in a personal exchange between the star and her stylist. We are attempting to determine the identity of the hackers and will pursue them aggressively. Their conduct is reprehensible.”

Miss Aguilera’s latest movie isn’t getting the best reviews and she is currently going through a divorce, so the timing of this outbreak could not be worse.
